Sequent Proposal

A brand development framework overview for category-defining restaurant in Atlanta.

BRAND DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK

Building a brand the city can’t forget

The best restaurants in the world are not entirely about the food.

They become part of the culture of a city. This kind of distinction is never accidental, it’s created with intent. It comes from unearthing that emotional connection, through clarity of vision, intentional experience design and restraint. The brands people never forget are built intentionally from the very beginning.

From our first conversations, it was clear that this project has the ambition and potential to become the next big thing, something genuinely distinctive. A category-defining restaurant for the city of Atlanta–suited to become the first 3-star Michelin restaurant in the Southeast and fifteenth in the US.

You and your team already poses three of the four main attributes which make a business truly successful: Predictable Results, Operational Excellence and Executional Brilliance.

Our job is to create the fourth: Cultural Permanence.

FIVE PHASES OF BRAND DEVELOPMENT

PHASE 1

Discovery

Before building a brand, we need to understand what deserves to be amplified. Know exactly what you are and what you are not. Understand the vision, audience and opportunity. We uncover:

  • history

  • ambition

  • cultural positioning

  • audience psychology

  • competitive landscape

  • direction

PHASE 2

Strategy

Defogging discovery to move forward with greater purpose. We define what the brand stands for and build the foundation to win. This becomes why. We gain:

  • clarity

  • purpose

  • positioning

  • brand narrative

  • emotional value

  • value proposition

  • guest perception

  • market differentiation

  • reputation design

PHASE 3

Identity

It’s not just about looking good. We create a world that is instantly recognizable around the brand. We create a feeling built around:

  • visual language

  • brand atmosphere

  • uniform direction

  • art direction

  • voice/tone/language

  • harmony

PHASE 4

Launch

Strategy becomes reality. The brand joins the real world with intention. We bring to life:

  • website

  • menus

  • signage

  • printed materials

  • social rollout

  • launch assets

  • customer touch points

  • stationary

  • packaging systems

PHASE 5

Evolution

Strong brands are designed to mature over time without losing its identity, not peak at launch. We keep top of mind:

  • cultural relevance

  • impact

  • evolution

  • long-term brand equity

  • scalability

  • consistency

Let's build something
the city can't forget.
